Archaeologists dig up pieces from the past on a regular bases. By putting these pieces together, completing the big puzzle, they can tell us the things that happened in the past. Realizing the difficulty of this task and its additional responsibility, we wondered if we could come up with a product that could make their life easier. This piece of first class pottery tells a story of its own. In this case the story of the financial crisis, in the hope to prevent similar situations in the future.
Beone
In addition to a bicycle brand, much seen in off-road and on-road championships around Europe, we’ve developed an entire series for the year 2010. We’ve designed a new look and feel, and expressed it in new frames. We’ve also paid a lot of attention to the decals which go on the frames. By using graphic support the right way, decals emphasize the frames, and make the concept stronger.

Tulip, Waste care System
Together with Ecosmart we designed a new product for waste-care in office buildings. The key-points of the design are efficiency, ergonomics and promotional benefits.

Xcetera
‘Xcetera’ is a partnership between ‘Westra Etc’ and Bleijh. At the moment, we have a range of three products: dining tables, conference tables and office tables which are adjustable in height. All are made of steel and plywood, and the colors and shapes will do wonders for your home or work environment. The tables can be ordered in all colors in Formica HPL, and side panels can be ordered in both O and X shapes. The adjustable tables all conform to the standards required for an office environment.
The ‘Xcetera’ label will be launching more products in the future.

Sandwichbike
People are constantly searching out new trends in products and clothing, while others who are less fortunate don’t have the means to acquire either. Those who are aware of this often give money to charities. We’d like to create a trend, which doesn’t reflect these global inequalities. Pieter Janssen from ‘Design Amsterdam’ helped us to put a bike on the market which isn’t just useful and stylish, but also twice as cheap to produce, so when someone purchases a bike at the ordinary price, there’s enough left over to donate one to someone else.

Chairtable
This chair, made of carbon, can be turned into a table in one simple movement. It’s suitable for both café owners and for personal use. It makes flexible us of terrace space, and turning it into a table when it rains keeps the seat dry. With acknowledgements to ‘Futura Composites’ in Heerhugowaard.
Bicycle Saddle
For ‘Velo saddles’, Bleijh designed a bicycle seat, which is distinguished from other saddles because it comes with an integrated box for carrying small items, at no inconvenience to the cyclist.
Downtown
This was the bicycle that featured in Basten Leijh’s Design Academy project. It’s a city bike which deals with all the problems bikes face today, and was bought by the international bicycle corporation ‘Giant.’ After appearing in a lot of exhibitions, and winning several prizes, it was called an icon of Dutch Design.

Montego
For Montego we designed the Big Barrow. A bicycle that is inspired on transporting goods, but in a fashionable way. The product launch will take part at Eurobike 2009 in Friedrichshafen.

Future Bicycle
A Dutch bicycle magazine invited four design companies to create their vision of a future bicycle. By bringing these concepts together, they hoped to start a discussion about the role of the bike in the future. We came up with an electric tricycle, a bridge between an ordinary bike and a car. We believe it’s a good alternative which will help people choose a form of transport friendly to the environment.
Bolletje
‘Bolletje’ is a market-leading Dutch company whose aim is to replace the position of the sandwich in the daily structure of our lives. It’s also well known for its biscuits and other original snacks. We were invited by ‘SWH,’ the best Dutch advertising company of 2007, to show our future vision of the brand ‘Bolletje’. Their briefing was mainly to think about the brand outside the box. Our presentation consisted of new locations for ‘Bolletje’ to sell their products, new names, new packaging and even new products.

Considerati is a consultancy firm specialising in Internet and IT strategy, policy and Law. We have designed their new corporate identity.

Graphic design windows DTZ Zadelhoff
For the headquarters of DTZ Zadelhoff in Amsterdam we designed 30 meters of graphics to cover the windows of their meeting centre to gain more privacy. We also did additional work according to singing and the main entrance.
ECP-EPN
To help ECP-EPN to communicate their advise to the Dutch government we designed several brochures. During this assignment Bleijh designed a couple of communication models in the field of privacy and the new technology RFID.

We designed the corporate identity, including the interior, for this health and fitness centre in Aalsmeer.
