Transport you true love for Montego

Montego contacted us with the assignment of creating a unique bike for urban use. We came up with this iconic and simple design. It is called Barrow and refers to the wheelbarrow. A product for transporting goods and where the handles are directly connected to the front wheel axle. It is functional and direct.

Bolletje

Together with a large commercial company we helped to develop the experience of the product. How does your product interact with the consumer. All packaging and current commercials shown on tv are based on our vision and ideas.

Office furniture by Xcetera

‘Xcetera’ is a partnership between ‘Westra Etc’ and Bleijh. At the moment, we have a range of three products: dining tables, conference tables and office tables which are adjustable in height. All are made of steel and plywood, and the colors and shapes will do wonders for your home or work environment. The tables can be ordered in all colors in Formica HPL, and side panels can be ordered in both O and X shapes. The adjustable tables all conform to the standards required for an office environment.

The ‘Xcetera’ label will be launching more products in the future.

Get wood

Looking at the bicycle market for a while, we thought it was time to see things differently. We came up with the Sandwichbike for a different approach on logistics, production and sales. The bike is engineered for up to 90 % and has seen a lot of publicity.
We are looking for people that want to invest in this cool project and help us to push the bicycle the last 10% and help us get in on the market!

Together with Ecosmart we designed a new product for waste-care in office buildings. The key-points of the design are efficiency, ergonomics and promotional benefits.

City perfect for Giant

This was the bicycle that featured in Basten Leijh’s Design Academy project. It’s a city bike which deals with all the problems bikes face today, and was bought by the international bicycle corporation ‘Giant.’ After appearing in a lot of exhibitions, and winning several prizes, it was called an icon of Dutch Design.

Dreft Packaging

A marketing magazine has invited 3 studio's to come up with a concept for new packaging for Dreft regarding the changes in the designs of kitchens. The assignment in this case was to create a packaging concept that looks good in the kitchen of today and also answers to environmental questions.
We designed a small packaging containing Dreft capsules, reducing space and therefor reducing the numbers of trips with trucks.

For Sachs electrical bicycles we have designed the new decals for 2011.

Superbowl

Archaeologists dig up pieces from the past on a regular bases. By putting these pieces together, completing the big puzzle, they can tell us the things that happened in the past. Realizing the difficulty of this task and its additional responsibility, we wondered if we could come up with a product that could make their life easier. This piece of first class pottery tells a story of its own. In this case the story of the financial crisis, in the hope to prevent similar situations in the future.

Segway Cubicles

An example of a concept to get the Segway reconnected with travelers. The idea is to create cubicles which can be placed at train-stations and create the opportunity to get people to interact with a business class like experience where there is luxury coffee, temporary office spaces and grab and go spot for Segways.

The new Mistral for Beone

In addition to a bicycle brand, much seen in off-road and on-road championships around Europe, we’ve developed an entire series for the year 2010. We’ve designed a new look and feel, and expressed it in new frames. We’ve also paid a lot of attention to the decals which go on the frames. By using graphic support the right way, decals emphasize the frames, and make the concept stronger.

Don't sit on that table

This chair, made of carbon, can be turned into a table in one simple movement. It’s suitable for both café owners and for personal use. It makes flexible us of terrace space, and turning it into a table when it rains keeps the seat dry. With acknowledgements to ‘Futura Composites’ in Heerhugowaard.

For Velo we have developed a bike saddle. In this saddle we integrated a box for stashing a special cover to put over your saddle when it is raining.
